On Wednesday 10/16, The Muskegon Jayhawks Womens Soccer team hosted the 9th nationally ranked Ocelots at Orchard View High School. The Jayhawks wasted no time striking first with a shot on goal coming from outside the box that was deflected landing in front of Brooklyn Watts for a nice tap in goal to give the Jayhawks a 1-0 lead minutes into the game. The Jayhawks kept the pressure high for a majority of the first half but found themselves getting scored on by Ocelots Daniella Alvarez twice before halftime helping the Ocelots go into half up 1-2. 
In the second half the Ocelots kept the scoring to themselves with Jessica Clyde and Kira Johnson finding the back of the net. The Ocelots attack forced Jayhawks goal keeper, Jessica Stewart, to have nine total saves before being relieved of her duties by Izzy Owens-Glassford. 
The Ocelots onslaught didn't stop there. Schoolcrafts Daniella Alvarez was able to find the net one last time, completing her hattrick and making the final score 1-5 in favor of the Ocelots.
The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks Womens Soccer team next game is Wednesday, 10/23, at 2pm at Orchard View High School for a rematch against Kellogg Community College.
