Carpenter Earns District and Regional Coach of the Year Honors
MUSKEGON, MI – Following a historic championship performance, Muskegon Community College Head Wrestling Coach Cody Carpenter has been named both the Great Lakes District Coach of the Year and Region XII Coach of the Year.
The honors come in recognition of the team's dominant showing at the Great Lakes District Championship, where the Jayhawks captured the district title and qualified their entire starting lineup for the NJCAA National Championships. Carpenter's leadership, preparation, and strategic execution throughout the season played a pivotal role in the program's continued rise on the national stage.
Under his direction, MCC Wrestling has solidified itself as a championship-caliber program, earning respect across the region and positioning the Jayhawks as strong contenders heading into nationals.
