133 pounder Anthony Cage had the best record on the day for the Jayhawks, turning in a 5-1 day for a 5th place finish. 165 pounder Garry Johnson III was 4-2 on the day, finishing sixth in his weight and Trevor Streeter finished in fourth place in the 174 pound bracket. Other Jayhawks picking up victories on the day were 125 pounder Jimmy Thommen, 133 pounder Dawson Kilpatrick and 149 pounder Cy Aune. "We have some guys healing up right now and we weren't at full strength." said Coach Carpenter. "I was still impressed with the fight some of our guys put in, going deep into their brackets.
