Jayhawks Tee Off Spring Season at Lancaster Golf Club
The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks men's golf team opened their spring season facing a tough test at Lancaster Golf Club in southern Ohio, a historic Donald Ross–designed course known for its challenging layout and demanding greens.
Competing outdoors for the first time in five months, the Jayhawks battled both the course and early-season rust. Despite the conditions, the team gained valuable experience and showed resilience throughout the event.
Leading the way for MCC was Levi Anderson, who posted consistent rounds of 89 and 89 for a total score of 178. Close behind was Tyler Carlson, carding rounds of 85 and 94 to finish at 179. Dylan Panozzo added a 182 total with rounds of 87 and 95, while Kaidyn Berghuis rounded out the Jayhawks' lineup with a score of 93.
While the results didn't fully reflect the team's potential, the outing served as an important step in shaking off offseason rust and adjusting to competitive play.
The Jayhawks now turn their focus to their next event at Island Hills on Thursday, April 9, where they look to build momentum and continue improving as the spring season gets underway.
